1. College Examinations
a. The college conduct Pre-Test Examinations for +2 IInd year and +3 1st year, 2nd year & 3rd year student & Half yearly examination for +2 1st year students in the month of December. Annual examination for +2 1st year student is held in the month of April.
b. Student shall be promoted/sent up on due consideration of the result of pre-test, test, half-yearly and annual exam, as the case may be.
c.Non-appearing student in pre-test/test examinations are not eligible to be sent up for CHSE/University exams.
d. In extra ordinary cases exemption from fine may granted on production authentic certificate. In any case such certificates should be produced before the publication of results.
e. Students adopt unfair means shall be punished. The decision of staff council is final & binding in all these cases.
2. University Examination
a. Degree (B.A./B.Com., Pass & Honours)
The course of Degree is of three years duration. The university conduct exams. 1st degree for 1st year students. 2nd degree for 2nd year students & Final degree exam for 3rd year degree students at the end of each year.
b. i) There is no provision for second or supplementary examination. Candidate may re-appear any one subject/paper in which he has been absent/failed to secure 45% marks in honours paper and 30% in pass paper with two year of the appearance (registration to clear the paper concerned without further attendance of lecturers.
ii) Any candidate fails to secure aggregate has to appear the paper of his choice to pass in aggregate.
c. To pass the exam., the candidate has to secure 30% marks in each subject and 36% in aggregate. To pass with distinction he has to secure 50% marks in aggregate in 1st appearance.
d. For 2nd class Hons the candidate has to secure 30% marks in each subject. Other than Hons and 45% in aggregate in all the Hons. paper taken together.
e. For distinction he has to secure 50% in aggregate in first appearance.
f. For first class Hons. the candidate has to secure 30% in each subject other than Hons. 60% in Hones papers taken together.
g. A candidate must secure 40% in each practical.
h. A candidate who fails to retain honours shall declared to have passed as a pass candidate, provided that he secures the minimum percentage of marks in the aggregate prescribed for the pass candidate.
i. A candidate who repeats Honours subject will lose distinction if already awaited.
3. Council Examination
a. The course of Higher Secondary Education shall be of two year duration. At the end of the second year the council shall conduct he Annual Examination.
b. (i) To pass candidate must secure 30% marks in each subject excluding practical papers.
(ii) 40% in practical paper
(iii) 35% in aggregate.
c. a) 60% and above first division
b) 50% to59% second division
c) 35% to 49% third division
d. If a candidate pass in compulsory and optional subjects and also in the aggregate of marks, then the excess marks of the minimum pass mark obtained in the extra optional subject shall be added to his aggregate for his division or rank.
4. Fees for examination (CHSE/University)
The examination fee and Centre charges etc. are to be paid by the candidates appearing at different examination as fiex by CHSE & Utkal University.
